How To Deposit Money Coinbase
Purchase and deposit limits will be different depending on your region and payment method type. How To Deposit Money Into Coinbase Uk
- Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
- On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select the Deposit button
- In the Currency Type field, select the cryptocurrency you wish to deposit. Warning: only send supported currencies to Coinbase
- Copy the account address shown. This address will be permanently associated with your account
- Open the external wallet you would like to send from, enter the unique address associated with the exact cryptocurrency you intend to send, and select the send button. (Warning: Currency sent to wrong cryptocurrency wallet may be unrecoverable (only send ETH to the ETH address, BTC to the BTC address, etc)
Deposits are available on the Pro mobile app by going to the Portfolios page and tapping the Deposit button in the top right-hand corner.
Withdraw cryptocurrency
In order to transfer cryptocurrency from your Coinbase wallet to another exchange or wallet, you'll need to obtain a destination address from that exchange or wallet. To complete a withdrawal on web:
- Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
- On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select the Withdraw option
- In the Currency Type field, select the cryptocurrency you wish to send
- Under the To field, specify the external wallet address you’d like to send the cryptocurrency to. If you have this address saved in your Address Book, you can search for it by nickname or the first few characters of the address. If you have Whitelisting enabled, you may only list here an address whitelisted in your Address Book. Warning: cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. Carefully review the blockchain address you have entered and send only to trusted addresses
- Enter the amount you'd like to send, then select the Withdraw option
Viewing your deposit and withdrawal history
All your properly completed deposits and withdrawals can be viewed on the Portfolios tab found on the top-right corner of the trading view. Select the respective tabs on this page to find a list of both pending and historical deposits and withdrawals. On the Coinbase Pro mobile app, you can find your wallets on the Portfolio Page and filter Recent Transactions for transfers to see deposits and withdrawals.
Contract-generated transactions
Currently, we do not accept sends from contract-generated transactions. Please do not deposit ETH to Coinbase Pro from an Ethereum contract.
US customers residing in a state where Coinbase offers service can fund their Coinbase accounts with USD via bank-wire or ACH transfers. Verify a US bank account
- Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
- On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select the Deposit option
- In the Currency Type field, select USD
- Select the Bank Account tab, then select From, then select Add Account
- You will be redirected to Coinbase.com to complete the bank account verification process
Depositing from a U.S. Bank Account (ACH)
- Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
- On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select Deposit
- In the Currency Type field, select USD
- Select the Bank Account tab. If you have verified your bank account, it should be listed here under From
- From the drop-down menu, select the verified bank account you would like to deposit from
- Specify the USD amount for the transfer then select the Deposit USD option to confirm
Depositing from a U.S. Bank Account (Bank Wire)
Bank wires are available to Coinbase Pro customers who have access to USD-denominated order books.
How To Deposit Money Coinbase App
- Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
- On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select Deposit
- In the Currency Type field, select USD
- Select the Wire Transfer tab. Follow the on-screen instructions—you will need to initiate a wire transfer from your bank account to your Coinbase Pro account
- You’ll be presented with instructions that provide either a personal account number or a unique reference code (you don’t need both) for initiating a wire transfer from your bank account
- Please note that the name on your bank account must match the legal name on your Coinbase Pro account for the wire to be accepted
Please be careful not to send an overnight or next-day *ACH*. An actual bank wire (not overnight or next-day ACH) must be submitted when sending to our wire details.
Withdrawing to a U.S. Bank Account (ACH and Bank Wires)
- Open the trading view at pro.coinbase.com/trade
- On the left-hand column under Wallet Balance, select Withdraw
- In the Currency Type field, select USD
- Select the ACH Bank Transfer or Wire Transfer tab. If you have verified your bank account, it should be listed here under To
- From the drop-down menu, select the verified bank account you would like to withdraw to
- Specify the USD amount for the transfer. You are able to withdraw all of your USD by selecting the MAX option
- Select the Withdraw USD option to confirm your withdrawal
How long will it take to deposit/withdraw from my bank account?
ACH
Purchases made using a debit card or the USD wallet are made available instantly.
When using bank transfers, the ACH bank transfer system is used for payments with your bank account. The ACH bank transfer system typically takes 3-5 business days* (which may be as many as 7-10 calendar days, depending on the timing of weekends and other bank holidays) to complete after initiating a purchase. The timing will be displayed prior to confirming your order.
You may see the funds immediately debited from your bank account when you initiate the transfer, but the funds will not be transferred to your wallet until your payment has finished moving between the banks and clears in our bank account.
After the banks have processed the transfer, the funds enter our system and you will see the money in your account sometime before the end of the estimated delivery day. This date is shown on the confirmation window when placing your order and can be located in the order confirmation email you received from us. End of the day is considered 11:59 PM PST.
Wires
Bank wire transfers may be credited to your Coinbase Pro account on the same day if submitted by 1:00 PM PT. Otherwise, funds will typically be available after one business day.
